Peanut Butter Fudge Brownie Trifle

Ingredients:

For the Brownies:

  • 1 box brownie mix (plus ingredients required on the package)
  •  ½ cup peanut butter chips (optional)
  •  For the Peanut Butter Fudge Layer:
  •  1 cup creamy peanut butter
  •  ½ cup powdered sugar
  •  ½ cup heavy cream

For the Whipped Cream:

  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  •  ¼ cup powdered sugar
  •  1 tsp vanilla extract

For Assembly: 

  • Crushed peanuts or chocolate shavings (for garnish)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Brownies: Preheat oven and make brownies as per package instructions, adding peanut butter chips if desired, then let cool completely before cutting into squares.

2. Make the Peanut Butter Fudge Layer: Beat together the peanut butter and powdered sugar until smooth, then whip heavy cream to soft peaks and fold gently into the peanut butter mixture until fully combined.

3. Whip the Cream: Beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a chilled bowl until stiff peaks form.

4. Layer the Trifle: In a trifle dish or individual glasses, layer brownie pieces, peanut butter fudge, and whipped cream, repeating until dish is full and finishing with a layer of whipped cream.

5. Garnish and Chill: Top with crushed peanuts or chocolate shavings, then refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
