Classic Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 12 lasagna noodles 🍝 
  • 1 lb ground beef 🥩 
  • 1 jar marinara sauce 🍅 
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese 🧀 
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese 🧀 
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese 🧀 
  • 1 egg 🥚 
  • 1 tbsp olive oil 🫒 
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder 🧄 
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano 🌿 
  • Salt & pepper to taste 🧂 
  • Fresh parsley for garnish 🌿

Instructions:

 Prepare the Noodles: 

    Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions, drain, and set aside. 🍝 

Make the Meat Sauce: 

    In a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat and brown the ground beef. 🥩
Add garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper to taste. Stir in the marinara sauce and simmer for 10 minutes. 🍅 

Prepare the Cheese Mixture: 

In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, and egg. Mix well. 🧀🥚 

Assemble the Lasagna: 

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). 🍽️
    Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 baking dish. Layer lasagna noodles, followed by ricotta cheese mixture, meat sauce, and shredded mozzarella. Repeat the layers. 🧀🍝
    Finish with a layer of mozzarella and Parmesan on top. 

Bake: 

Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the top is bubbly and golden. 🍽️ 

Serve: 

Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley for a pop of color. 🌿
